The detachable carbon guitar

2019
The Beginning of an Adventure

During a road trip, I realized the value of a guitar while traveling. The small 3/4 guitar we had was crucial to our adventure, but too cumbersome for excursions. I envisioned creating a guitar that could be taken anywhere.

The meeting

At the Arts et Métiers School of Engineering in Angers, it was the meeting with Antonin that marked the birth of the Mogi Guitar project. We decided to train in business creation, guided by our mentor: Louis Ickx.

Our Luthier Fred Kopo: "OK, let's do it."
These are the words of Fred, founder of the Kopo Guitar workshop and then president of the "Association Professionnelle des Luthiers Guitare" (APLG), when he agreed to join our adventure.

European Institute of Music Professions
At the ITEMM INNOVATION CENTER in Le Mans, we met Romain Viala, a Doctor of Acoustics. His arrival marked the integration of innovative materials into Mogi guitars, still far from the typical carbon guitar models.

The first prototype
The first flax prototype was a major step forward in the development of our technology. But its raw form and fragility would soon give way to the design of new carbon guitar prototypes.

Initial Funding

Winning the Pépite Pays de la Loire competition and receiving support from innovation stakeholders (BPI, Réseau Initiative, FrenchTech, Fondation Arts et Métiers, Pépite), we raised €100,000 for developing our carbon guitar.
